As a highly interdisciplinary Center, the CBCB co-sponsors and organizes seminars covering the spectrum of the field including: Bioinformatics, Mathematical Biology, Computational Biochemistry, Computational Biology, Neurosciences, Genetics and Biomedical Engineering.  These seminars provide an opportunity for the Center's membership to expand their knowledge and help round out their expertise in this highly diverse field of research. This page will serve as a central point for students and faculty to identify seminar series, and individual seminars of interest to the CBCB membership.

If you would like to suggest a speaker or know of a seminar that should be posted here, please email Prof. Yi Xing (yi-xing@uiowa.edu) or Prof. Tom Casavant (tom-casavant@uiowa.edu).

Upcoming Seminars and Series:

  • Fall Bioinformatics Series (accepting speaker nominations - email yi-xing@uiowa.edu)
  • Summer Bioinformatics Retreat (contact kai-tan@uiowa.edu)
  • Fall Joint UI-ISU Bioinformatics Symposium (contact kai-tan@uiowa.edu)
